PAVING

Paving has been around for almost 5,000 years. One of the oldest paved roads was discovered in the summer of 1994, in Giza, Egypt. This road was built over 4,600 years ago.

As well as concrete paving slabs, patios can also be created using other durable products such as bricks, block paving, and a wide range of natural stone paving or cobbles.

A patio (/?pæti.o?/, from Spanish: patio [?patjo]; "courtyard", "forecourt", "yard") is an outdoor space generally used for dining or recreation that adjoins a residence and is typically paved.
